  Your reality is what you choose to make it. I've seen the work of Alex Jones, and I'd take party-line over his paranoid babbling any day. These conspiracy theorists thrive on seeding unfactual paranoia, then producing the paid-for videos and books - a pure American business tactic, fleecing the unsuspecting masses by creating demand for their nonsense.

  The Internet is bigger than the UK, and it's certainly bigger than the US. Obama's pledged to keep the american web free and open - time will tell if he lives up to that promise, but if he listens to any economic advisor for three seconds, he'll know just how important open broadband is.

  In order to actually clamp down on the whole internet, you have to get every government and ISP in the world on board, and I can think of a few who wouldn't go for it. If the Internet becomes another DSTV, how many people do you think will cancel and walk away? How much revenue and revenue potential will be lost?

  Stop being so paranoid and stop spreading paranoid propaganda. The rest of the world is laughing at you.
