Dear diary
Today is a very important day in my life as well as my old lady's life! Mine, I get to have her at home the whole day and for her this is her 1st anniversary as a member of zoopy! I can just imagine her celebrations tonight. I overheard her telling my dad she is making some yummy chicken, yeah, I can have some to. Also, I noticed she took out a lovely bottle - she normally refers to it as "Rooies Fourie"- I see it is an Alto Rouge 2005- sounds like a fine year to me, not that I would know because I prefer a nice cuppa tea.
Well, I remember when my mom became a member and the way she used to 'stress out' with her little 'knip and druk' camera to try and upload pictures and video's to zoopy. Shame, she used to be so hard on herself but she must remember she is not a 'pro' - only a "home executive" and the feedback she has been getting, she is doing ok.
With her very first gig with a very famous band from Cape Town she was a 'wreck'! She was still using her 'knip and druk' and once she got home, it took her the whole night to edit and upload but what fun in between! Now she has such lovely equipment and she is having a ball! She is rather amazed to see at her age, we wont reveal that, but what was that? it is mentioned on her profile, what you can do with technology! She learns something new every day. She only wishes that she could have done all of this 20 years ago but she is not complaining.
The current events in Durban that are taking place are only the early stages of the heats with Quicksilver Pro Junior and that is why the old lady has the whole week to rather go and do the main events. We will keep you posted and in the meantime the old lady will keep on enjoying uploading to zoopy and I am so grateful that she is allowing me some space on zoopy too.
Catch you at the next best wave when the main attraction takes place!
