Dear diary

Thank goodness the old lady went to bed!  I could not wait to get to my diary session today but my old lady had other 'commitments', say no more!

I had such a fun day yesterday.  At first, when my dad left for work, it really hit me hard!  I was 'tap dancing' on my mom's shoulder like a 'cat on a hot tin roof'!  Very very upset to see my dad off! So happy when he returned by midday  taking half a day off from the office.

He deserved a good day's rest!  I was spoilt rotten but I caused such havoc, more than usual.  My dad and mom got to know this 'Miller family' but my mom has been on this soup diet and started distancing herself from the 'Miller family', must be a 'woman thing'!  I was at my best, taking over the budgie cage as usual, running up and down and the next thing, I got attracted to this 'cousin' of the 'Miller family' and reached out and pushed the 'cousin' over!  Oh my, my mom was all over the floor trying to 'restore' the damage that I done.  Luckily for all, no 'casualties' except a bit of a mess. The folks were rather nice about it, no scolding at all.

The white budgie who's cage I took over, has all of a sudden become so 'affectionate' with my mom it is unbelieveable!  Every day she is flying onto my mom's head!  Mom says only she and dad 'sits on her head' but dad's says no 'mom wears the rods in the house'.  This budgie, Cheeky Bek must have something up her sleeve because she has her partner Blue Peter and she has never really needed my mom before.  Maybe she is competing for my mom's attention only because I am so 'demanding' and insist on all the attention.

One thing I am grateful for and that is that my mom is not a 'beauty queen'.  She has this notion lately, as the beauty queen's always answer 'we want to save the world'- my mom all of a sudden has become so 'intence' with the whole world's problems and she gets so sad.  She loves all kinds of animals and cries easily when animals get abused.  I am so grateful for that, you get my meaning, me being an African grey!

It is past my bed time and before my mom 'kicks up a storm' I better sign off.
