A local motorist has been jailed for going through a red robot. For his offense he's now going to jail for 18 months. Is this a fitting punishment?

Have your say

I once skipped a Red Robot - I then bumped a car, got my car written off and so for 18 months in jail, I think the sentence was too lenient, should have been life sentence or death penalty, because I almost killed my passenger and those on the other car. If I was capable of that, then what gives me the right to say the sentence was too harsh?

Thank you so much for your comment. I hope you learnt your lesson and that you are safer in your driving.

Many motorists do not, generally, consider anything beyond their front and rear bumpers. We should all keep our eyes open and think of the consequences before performing ANY manoeuvre.
