Durban activities

All dressed up and nowhere to go and being at the wrong place at the right time!  Every day is a learning curve in my life when it comes to covering daily events and issues.  One thing is for sure, get away from the ironing board, do your 'homework' and keep up to date with the events taking place.I was all geared up to cover the last two days which are the most important days of the Quiksilver Pro and luckily I remembered to read their website- only to realize that our waves on the beach front  is not big enough and the event has been moved to the Bluff.  Urs truly, unfortunately could not make it there. On arrival at the beach front, I was informed that today is the last day!Somehow, I was either on my 'own little planet' or the information out there was not too clear!  Well, next year I will make sure that I keep 'closer tabs' on the organisers and keep members better informed.Luckily there is still the website to see the latest results- www.quikprodurban.com Our baby Barney is not complaining, he has his mommy all for himself the little 'spoilt brat'!  He is currently 'ruling the roost'!  If mom does not look out, he is taking over the cage of the 2 little budgies, chasing them out and 'squating'!  He sees himself as a 'property tycoon'.  He has his own cage, tree with a 'silver platter nogal' and a 'jungle jim', how much more does he need?  Under his mom's supervision it is all good!It is really sad about the waves but hey, worse things are happening around us!  Stay in touch and Barney will be back with his daily diary!  Hope he leaves the 'family scandals' out of the 'print'.  Ciao everybody!
