Emmarentia Dam to be renamed

This is going to cause political chaos. Imagine you want to take the dogs for a walk. You shout 'Mbeki!, Mbeki!' with great enthusiasm, as one does with dogs. This could be political suicide in the current climate. Imagine the Mshini'wam neighbours overheard you. If your dogs jump in the dam for a swim, can you still shout at them to 'Shaick!' before they get in the car? On the other hand this could be part of a Pavlovian plot, perhaps unleashed by COPE, to instill new enthusiasm among dogs for the African Renaissance and all things Mbekite. But let's not talk about unleashing, or of doggy poo...lest we put our foot in it. The big question is - have dogs been consulted? While some dogs may have a bone to pick, I imagine the majority will approve. They may argue that the Zuma government will have no ideological problems with a Mbeki park overrun with freerange dogs who poop all over the place. And with greater enthusiasm than white liberals at a dinner party, they'll all shout : Viva Mbeki Dam, it's going to the dogs!
