Sleeping around is sleeping around

Floyd Shivambu (ANC Youth League spokesperson) has announced that Helen Zille (leader of the DA & premier of the Western Cape) has been sleeping around, and that means that she's been sleeping around, because sleeping around is sleeping around. It doesn't involve sex. Or it might. Then again it may not. 702 dj Redi Direko tried to find out more from Floyd, and this is what happened.

Have your say

*Face palm* Please tell me the aren't future candidates for leadership positions in our country......

  • Posted by Ralphmack:3 months ago

Well done, Redi! You have clearly exposed what a bunch of MORONS run the ANCYL. They can't communicate, they sure as hell can't do woodwork. Don't think I would trust them in my garden either. And when trapped in their own stupidity, all they can do is resort to childish insults.

  • Posted by Mavro:3 months ago

OMG! You can't explain the definition of a phrase or word by repeating the phrase or word, I learn't this when I was 8!. This guy is hired for his communication skills???!!!

  • Posted by Adriaan90:4 months ago

Jesus Christ! This is f*****g rediculous! Oh my god! I've lost all hope!

bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha...... D**n the ANC Youth League Hire a bunch of idiots seriously... that guy clearly doesn't know what he is talking about lmao What is this country coming to honestly.....

  • Posted by icesculptures:4 months ago

I have never heard anything more rediculous. He has absolutely no idea, this is our future government. He is an embarrassment to his culture, race and political party.

We mean what we say and we say what we mean and that is all I can say about that - Its complete garbage coming out of his mouth.

Imagine how good DJ Redi Direko from this interview would be in government, and the 2 black ladies that run Interface on a Sunday evening, they are intelligent, quick and stable people...why is it always the Morons that have nothing better to do who end up going in to Politics.... such as Julius "Nandos" Malema.... Eish

  • Posted by Amazed2009:4 months ago

Well this was interesting! I guess we can conclude that Helen Zille has a revolving bed and so she can sleep around (and around and around...). And Floyd is only the ANCYL's puppet as he can clearly not piece together a cohersive sentence (somebody quick: he may have had a stroke; ask him to smile or lift up both his arms and if he can't he should receive medical attention on taxpayers' money)... You know I really hope we don't have guys like him keeping things like infrastructure going. Imagine asking him what he means by "de rowbot izent weckking": "We are not going to change our state-MENT. De rowbot izent weckking and det is what we mean..." And then we have kids lauding ANCYL as visionaries: probably because the kids are more short-sigthed than ANCYL...

To newuser: are you telling me that you understand Floyd explanation of "sleeping around"? Does this must make perfect sense to you? And if you are inspired by the likes of Malema then I feel sorry for your generation - because you obviously will not to be strong/clever enough to be the next leaders of this wonderful country - just a bunch of easily fooled brain washed puppets not clever enough to discern Malema's flattery for madness!!! You and your white friends must also have very little respect for the women of South African that you would respect Malema a man whose hate speech against rape victims and woman in general is so offensive that he deserves his tongue to be cut out of his mouth! Shame on you for being fooled by these dim wit clowns!

  • Posted by newuser:4 months ago

I'm a high school student doing matric and I was inspired by Malema's speech on Youth Day. He has a vision for us as the youth and he addresses our needs we're not fooled by the media anymore. As the youth we were in solidarity cheering him on and appreciating our leader. I went with my white friends and they were also impressed.
HANDS OFF PRESIDENT MALEMA HANDS OFF

    • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

Oh, Newuser, you poor, sorry arsed fool! It is quite obvious that many of the (black) youth in this country that think like you, Malema and Floyd do, have generations to go before they can hope to reach a level of competence where they can legitimately lay claim to be ready to govern, as opposed to merely being a majority. (Courtesy of unrestrained procreation and ignorance)
Any white friends that you might have that were "also impressed" were either brainless idiots, or afraid to say anything since they might have been in the minority that day.

President Malema??????????????? You need intelligence to be a President in most Countries, but obviously NOT in Africa!! Malema is a crass, stupid, baffoon, with very little intelligence, but rather with a type of "cunning" that has led him to align himself with the likes of our newly installed, but not necessarily respected, President.

While our President is at the very least known to be an expert on matters of soap, and showering, the YOUTHful Julius, can only be linked to a rather poor level of education, that has seen him, far older than most Matriculants, achieve marks on woodwork that would make any woodworker turn away in embarrassment.

The nearest our dear Julius (Dilemna) Malema will come to reaching that level of (dare I say) competency, will be IF he can achieve a pass mark in PANEL BEATING. (Get it, moron?) PRES - E - DENT!!!!

Back to your "Matric" class, dummy. You have a LOOOOONG way to go STILL.

      • Posted by nannear:4 months ago

WELL PUT! mY MOTHER-IN-LAW TEACHERS BLACK MATRICULANTS THAT CAN BARELY READ OR WRITE AND NOW i MUST TAKE THIS KIDS WORD ON MALEMA BEING RESPECTABLE BECAUSE HE IS A "CUNNING" SNAKE AND THIS KID IS NOT CLEVER ENOUGH NOT TO BE FOOLED BY HIS WORDS.

        • Posted by ETZEL:4 months ago

They normally make great doctors!!!! They treat you until you are DIE and then blame it on WHITE medicine HaHaHa

        • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

          Hey Nannear,
Imagine if those "matriculants" your Mom is teaching actually get to MEDICAL SCHOOL, even if it IS with a forged Degree!! I wonder how things will shape up if we end up being TREATED by one of them?? It would be easy NOT to be able to read their prescriptions, coz they won't be able to write anyway.
Isn't it amazing how little savvy, responsibility or HONOUR these "peepool" have, that they are quite happy to accept a forged degree, drivers license, or matric certificate, from some unscrupulous other "peepool" that have stolen or forged them, just so that they don't have to WEK for it?
Rather than "WEK" for it, like we do, they are prepared to LIE AND CHEAT and BRIBE to get position and power, as do so many of our erstwhile lesser politicians, One wonders sometimes whether there is ANY such thing as HONOUR in Africa.

      • Posted by newuser:4 months ago

You published his matric results(backfired), u 've been calling him an idiot for about a whole year now(boooooring) and guess what?? he's still standing.
We the youth of today are vibrant, adventurous, ambitious and now and then a tad arrogant that's exactly the kind of leader we need...plus he's influential too remember our former President.
and he is President of the Youth League duh

        • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

MG!! It speaks!!! It also sounds suspiciously like Floyd boytjie, under another username?? Not sure how publishing his matric results backfired, dude, and the reason it has taken a year is that idiots don't normally know when to fall down!

Thabo's fall had little, if anything to do with Julius, but more with his own unbelievable arrogance, and the belief that he was above the Country, Parliament, the ANC, and God!! Remember, "Newuser" that "Pride cometh before a Fall". You'd better ask Teacher what that means!

I expect young Julius, Floyd, and others, including yourself, will go the same way eventually. "What goes around comes around" is another little snippet that you might ask Teacher about? Being President of the "Youth" League, ( an organisation for over 35's??? I dunno where the youth bit comes in??) isn't a lot to crow about, as they are mostly thick, stupid, irresponsible and arrogant, and I don't mean a TAD. I mean EXTREMELY arrogant.

The REAL Black leaders in this Country have chosen to abstain from Political aspirations, and go into commerce, rather than have to deal with Tribalism, stupidity, nepotism (you'll have to ask Teacher about these words again) and lately, incredible RACISM, on the part of the ANC and it's pathetic "YOUTH" League.

I wonder how long it will take for the penny to drop for Trevor Manuel, Jeremy Cronin, Pravn Gordan, Johnny de Lange, and the other WHITE. COLOURED and INDIAN members and supporters of the great, impartial, non racist ANC, that unless they are BLACK, they will never ever be elected, or even be put forward as a candidate for any seriously high office?? It will be the Julius Malema's of this World that will see to it.
The Knives have been out for a while now.

Sorry Newuser, I don't expect you to understand any of what I have written here, but remember, if you want to know what I am talking about, rather ask Teacher. DON'T ASK JULIUS or FLOYD!!

          • Posted by newuser:4 months ago

            you sound very bitter
what's this "go ask Teacher"...that's disrespectful please act your age.
            and you say I'm ignorant
Tribalism has been rooted out hence COPE.
35 is the cut off age not membership eligibility.
Malema is actually 28 and President of all the young people in the Country.

            • Posted by proudafrican:4 months ago

newuser,, dont waste ur time trying to teach the bitter old man, to accept reality and stop believing in something that will never be. he can be angry and bitter all he want, but the fact remains, the democratic rule is here to stay and there is nothing he can do about it except vote for opposition. we are being governed by the will of the people through democratic processes. if he fails to conceptualise this reality and fact, i suggest he asks the president of the ANCYL, who wil take him step by step and block by block on what democracy and will of the people means. your passionate hate on black people leaves much to be desired and I believe thats not good for your heart especially at your age. accept reality "outata",you are in Africa and Africans are the majority and no amount of hatred will make them disappear. worst of all for your blood preassure,Africans are elected to lead and govern. guessssss what, they are your leaders too.

              • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

Hello Proud African, so you want to trade words with me and show your "education" with words like conceptualise, do you? Democracy is a new word in Africa, friend, and it doesn't mean what the Americans say it means when applied here. It means, in African Terms, "we are in charge now" and is normally the forerunner to undemocratic rule of the highest order.

You might not have noticed that despite the fact that the ANC won a majority in the past elections, they lost a considerable number of votes in the process, many of them black votes. This is just the beginning!! As for asking th "President" of the ANCYL for advice, I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on him if he was on fire!

You're wrong in your assumption that I hate Black people. There is absolutely no hatred in my heart for Black people. I actually love the majority of the Black people that I see every day, trying desperately to stay alive in the shacks they are forced to live in by the people that they put in power, who have had one long and expensive party at their expense, since 1994.

What I DO hate is CORRUPTION, and ARROGANCE, much of both of which is carried on daily by the so called "Leaders" of the ANC, and the ANCYL. I hate unfairness, as is perpetrated against anyone who disagrees with what the ANC Youth "Leaders" are saying, and I hate stupidity when it comes to blind, and unjustified support of people like Malema the idiot, who SHOULD be preaching peace and harmony, but aren't doing so, and instead are preaching hatred and ugliness.

Don't talk to me about hatred. There is no hate for black people in me, only deep disappointment that when we gave you the ball to run with, you not only dropped it, but you blamed everyone else for the fact that you have been unable to play it!

The rest of us South Africans, white, coloured and Indian, are now having to live in fear of their black brothers, because some of them are intent on taking what we have, and in many instances, killing the people that they steal from. Racism is rife in SA today, but its now being perpetrated by the Black people on everyone else, include those blacks from the "wrong" tribe.

I have accepted that our leaders are here to stay, because they are in the majority, not because they are better than us, and accept them as my leaders too, but every day brings fresh disappointment at the way that many of them squander the resources that have been placed in their hands. I wonder, Proud African, whether, if there was another election in 5 years time, and the people voted against the ANC, whether you and Malema and Floyd and all of the others who sprout the word "DEMOCRACY" so readily, would accept being voted out by the very people that voted you in? Think about that friend, because it is coming more rapidly than you can imagine. "Outata" sends you his love and affection. At least the word is one of respect for my age. Whether you meant it as such is debateable.

            • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

I AM bitter, and so are many hundreds of thousands of South Africans, across the board. Speaking solely for the white population, we voted to end Apartheid and unban the ANC in the 90's, hoping to end years of separateness between the various racial groups, a separateness that should never have been. We had the hope that doing so would unlock the greatness that this wonderful Country possesses. Mandela showed what a great Statesman he was by forgiving the terrible things that had been done to him, and taking this country forward to what SHOULD have been a great future, where all of our children could have lived in peace and harmony, with equal opportunity for all.

What did we get instead? We got unprecedented Corruption at the highest level of Government. We got BEE, applied in such a way that WE, and OUR children are now subjected to a kind of reverse Apartheid, where apologists continue to give jobs to people who are incapable of doing them, yet draw fat salaries for total incompetence. We got jobs for pals and lackeys where family and political connections are placed higher than the needs of the Country to be seen as apolitical.

We got a Police Force that cannot Police or keep order because their members are appointed by their race, and not for their ability, where training is a non existent word, and where FAT, LAZY, UNTRAINED and totally INCOMPETENT Policemen and more particularly Policewomen, strut the streets, or drive around in their Police "company vehicles" talking on their cellphones, with Police issue handguns strapped cowboy style to their short stubby legs, and either completely ignorant of the crimes going on around them daily, or taking bribes from drug cartels to look the other way.

We have a (Black) Police Commissioner who consorts with criminals, and is currently on paid leave of absence, pending his trial for corruption and dishonesty. We have former Politicians, who have been caught, done minimal jail time, and then been freed, because of their political connections, and one from legitimate re-arrest for drunken driving because a corrupt (Black) Police Station Commander forced the arresting officers to change the crime docket!

We have a (Black) Supreme Court Judge, who is seen on TV, drunk, and disorderly, after crashing his vehicle into a wall, threatening the people arresting him, then 2 years later, still trying to get off the hook! We have the Judge President of the Cape, in and out of Court, blaming "racism" for the fact that he has been found to have interfered with other Judges with regard to our wonderful President's trial for corruption!!

We got relatively unknown and unimportant Black MEC's who travel to and from Parliament every day, in convoys of up to 10 Black BMW's, some of them with only a driver, led by Police vehicles, blue lights flashing, and virtually forcing other motorists off the road every day, with their assumed self importance.

Inflation is out of control, thanks to the demands of an unrealistic Trade Union attitude that demands more and more pay for less and less work! Crime has spiralled to new heights, despite the assurances of the Minister of Police, and it is set to get WORSE!! I could go on, but if you haven't got the picture yet, you never will.

In short, we gave you a Country with a vibrant economy, where the Rand at one stage was worth more than the American Dollar, where most people at least had jobs, and in 15 years you have managed to f**k it up so badly that it may never recover! All of this, and the majority of your people are still living in shacks, and are mostly now without work, while the people that you support, Julius Malema and the ANC Politicians, live like Kings at the expense of the very (Black) people that put them in power!
And you wonder why I am bitter? The "ASK TEACHER" is sarcasm, dude, because you're supposed to be a Matric Pupil, yet you display an oafish stupidity, and lack of education, in your blind support of another fool, that proves that you don't deserve to even BE THERE!

            • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

              Hey Newuser,
I just read through this bit of crap again, and realised that I hadn't answered you entirely. For the record, Tribalism is something that has been RIFE in Africa for generations. It is STILL rife, even here, and COPE had absolutely NOTHING to do with it. I don't know why you should claim that COPE was a factor in it being "rooted out", but I assure you that Tribalism is well and growing in SA.

The Zulu's could never stand the Xhosa's and the Xhosa's could never stand the Venda'a either. Ask Cyril Ramaphosa! He's not Zulu and he's not Xhosa. He should have been the automatic and popular choice to succeed Mandela, but he decided that for health reasons it might be better for him to go into commerce, before he woke up dead or his family were wiped out by the Thabo supporters.

Somehow Mandela must've been deeply disappointed when he realised that the son of his old friend and comrade in the "struggle", Govan M'Beki, was such an arrogant and useless TWIT, who placed himself, (and whatever information he got off the Internet) above all men. How could anyone expect a man that had basically grown up in exile, to be aware of the plight of his people who hadn't??

I very much doubt that the "chommie" mentality so rife in the ranks of the ANC and its disgustingly arrogant "Youth" League would allow an age limit of 35 to stand in the way of the political aspirations of anyone with connections.

Malema might be 28, but the usual practice in Africa allows the rulers either to destroy their opponents, or at the very least to ban them, so that the much loved description of PRESIDENT FOR LIFE can be set in motion. Malema will ensure that he stays around for as long as it takes him to reach the financial level of Tokio Sexwale, who somehow managed to become a BILLIONAIRE in less than 10 years.

I don't quite know how he managed that, but I can tell you, it wasn't by running a chain of cardboard reclaiming companies! Julius better brush up on his "contacts", especially those in commerce that believe in BRIBING their way into positions of power in the New South Africa. Its not really about WHAT you know, is it?

Oh, and for the record, Malema the Dilemna is NOT President of MY children, nor is he Prsident of many others' children. He is only the President of those uneducated Black peepool that do not have the education to think for themselves yet, but that will take another couple of generations, if you and your cohorts are any example of the calibre of what is coming through your schools.

        • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

Duh! Whats the matter Newuser? Cat got your tongue? Haven't HEARD from you lately!! !! Or have you been battling to get your thick head out of Malema's ass? You and old Proudafrican went very quiet very quickly there. Was it something I said that got home? Does the truth get through eventually, or are you just unable to respond? Are you SURE you're not Floyd incognito? (Thats NOT a motor part BTW Thats a magneto! )

I absolutely LOVE your writing...saying things I think most South Africans would like to say (all colours, may I add) keep it up,you already have people like me looking forward to your comments!!!! they are clever and great fun to read Thanks

        • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

          Hi ETZEL,
My pleasure. Its something that I have so enjoyed doing, so to find someone that appreciates it, gives me the courage to carry it on. I believe that you are right when you say that most South Africans of all races think that way, because we are all in the same boat, like Noah's Ark!

Reading this column for the first time made me realise that if we DON'T say, or DO something, these morons will reduce us to another Zimbabwe. Sadly, I haven't had any replies from the guys I was addressing them to, so haven't had any further reason to write for the moment, but hey, maybe they're still trying to figure out what I said? LOL
Great to get your comments. As long as the Morons are on here, I'll be with them too!!!

            Hi Aristotle,
And you thought they could read and write HeHeHe they have reeeeeealllly been caught out ..the stupid clowns most probably don't even know how to use their very expensive computers (that the tax payer paid for) to log in or out of anything. Have you considered the the fact that they cannot SPELL? and answering you will expose them as illiterate and stupid? Maybe that is why they are so silent? Have a great day...will check tomorrow

          • Posted by nannear:4 months ago

I know the day I read that matriculants comment I was spitting fire! And I replied to him and he never came back to me and then you made your comments and backup what I was saying - and I thought Thank goodness I am not alone in my feelings towards the ANC youth league. I mean I am in my mid 20's and don't consider myself a "youth" anymore so I really don't see what the point is of the ANC youth league - its like a relic from the past that really needs to be disbanded like the NP. Thanks Aristotle for your courage - we will keep backing you up. And don't worry - you aren't alone in your BITTERNESS I am bitter too esp towards people that are willing to let this country go to the dogs.

Me and My white friends ?? haha....you don't seem to have a clue what's going on. My social realm aren't limited to white and I HAVE LOTS RESPECT for women.....but not a piece of s**t like you !!

Floyd is typical as is Julius, nothing but stupid who knows not what he is saying or meaning to say. He comes across as to be being real brainwashed in the typical communist fashion and not being able to substanistate what he he saying or even trying to say. All I can say is grow up Floyd and Julius and join the the real world. You are making total assholes of yourselves

  • Posted by TakeMyPunch:4 months ago

    sleeping around is sleeping around...haha

no he 's just trying to quote phrases from the Bible..." ......Israel prostitue themselves with the gods of Ammonite, gods of Moabite.....bla bla bla " ...with the same approach he compared Zille with the Israelite in the scripture and called her a POLITICAL PROSTITUTE where she were trying to make things right. It was merely an attack on Zille and nothing more.

Therefore ..Sleeping around is Sleeping around

  • Posted by jakesie:4 months ago

Who ever appointed an idiot like this, is where the trouble starts. That person who gave this moron this job just proved that the ANC lacks people with mentality. I don't understand how this idiot, got that job. I swear to GOD I will do a better job than him. Actually, any1 can do better than that.

  • Posted by metafang:4 months ago

Wow, I thought that julius mamparra was bad, but this new guy is a total idiot.

Ive only been in Australia for 3 months, and already the ANCYL has dropped its standerd even more. Ill be back in SA in Feb2010, I dont even want to think how it will be by then.

  • Posted by jack_feather:5 months ago

I work at a large newspaper company and recently it was revealed that he (Floyd Shivambu) is HIV positive... we were paid by an unnameable party not to reveal the information.
    Talk about sleeping around.

    • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

Hey Jack, you shouldn't be surprised that Floyd is HIV +. Many of them (ANCYL and ruling party) are! I can understand that this is not a big deal for them, because (a) their President JZ, has openly admitted sleeping with an HIV+ woman, and HE doesn't make a big deal out of it, coz he showered afterwards, and anyway, everyone knows that the Witch doctors' advice has been that you can easily get rid of AIDS by sleeping with a Virgin, no matter what age, or colour, she is!!!!
Go figure how many of these morons actually BELIEVE that!!! It will take this mob two generations (hopefully) to come to the stage where they can actually rule effectively, and then it MIGHT be because they are intelligent enough, and educated enough, and NOT because they are the majority!!!! In the meanwhile, we are ALL at the mercy of Floyd, Julius Mampara, and ALL the other idiots in the ANC, who look on Democracy as their free ticket to riches and power, on the backs of the poor, ignorant fuckers that voted them in, and will continue to vote them in for the forseeable future, because they are the same pigment, until one day the PENNY drops, as opposed to the RAND, which has been in freefall since 1994!!
      God help this Country

these d**k heads dare to talk to me like that in front of my presence I'd Punch him right in the face and give him a good beat before got sent to the police station

Proof of the pudding is in the tasting .... This is indicative of the future of our country. These are our future leaders. Maybe after he is sleeping around he should take a shower. This may "AID" him in a "CURE". As a wise man once said.... "It is folly to be wise in a place where ignorance is bliss". If you don't understand me I am sure they will. As you sow so shall you reap... Remember this in your next elections. And finally.... A majority vote sometimes means that all the fools are on the same side.

Actually, the proof of the pudding is in the recipe.

Floyd you are an embarrassment to our country! Black racism is on the rise in sa and not only against white people but between black people themselves. The anc and its members at large should realise that although they won the elections they do not own the country. We the non anc citzens pay our taxes etc too and we will have our say or maybe we should stop paying our taxes and then see what the anc will run and corrupt then.

Time to wake up people and shame on south africans who voted for a bunch of miss guided clue less idiots in the first place. Put sa first not some stupid party!!!!!

  • Posted by Jeanne:5 months ago

I have had close contact with black people for many years and I am sorry to say that some of the current generation do not display a truly African heart. It seems that there is more racism now than in the days of Apartheid.

Black people have always had a special human warmth. But now.....?? What happened? I prefer the older generation - they possess not only human warmth but humour and courage.

How are we going to build South Africa? Or is the idea to reduce it to nothing? The ugliness displayed by the Youth League is not something South Africa can be proud of. They are not doing South a service.

    • Posted by JvanStaden:5 months ago

  • Posted by greymacpherson:5 months ago

The thing that no-one seems to realise is that these guys are in fact genius politicians! no-one else gets the level of coverage that they do, they are always in the spotlight and if their aim is to annoy Zille so much that she gets distracted from what she should be doing then they are winning. It doesn't matter that they talk complete shite most of the time, in fact that is to their advantage as they can obscure the issues as much as they want to without actually having to say anything that they could be help accountable for. Thing is with politics is that it is emotive showbiz for ugly people and supporters of any side will side with the people they support regardless of any furore. These guys are doing a cracking job at being a bunch of s**t causers and regardless of the seeming stupidity of their utterances these guys are actually onto a winner here.

  • Posted by Jeanne:5 months ago

I feel very sad because I think that now is the time when we should be united and working together for the good of the country. The Youth League is constituted by a bunch of vulgar and childish kids.

I think we should all rally behind the President. We all know what he did and said and we also know that he managed to get out of a very difficult situation as he is President of the ANC. Now that he has been elected democratically we have to do all we can to ensure that our country works for the sake of the majority who have waited so long for the promises of the ANC.

Zilla has a good record - no doubt about that. I believe that what should qualify anyone for a top position is competence - race and gender are not the qualities which should qualify anyone, only competence. If the top jobs go to all men or all women that is irrelevant. It is COMPETENCE THAT COUNTS. Maybe next time there will be more women. Has anyone ever complained that the ANC has never had a woman President? No. So?

The Youth League is behaving in a disgusting manner and I have not heard a single word of censure coming from the leadership of the ANC. One gets the feeling that they approve. If so then it is a sad day in our history. Does the ANC want to go forward or do they wish to destroy South Africa first?

We need to pray for South Africa

  • Posted by mildlymyself:5 months ago

I am simply amazed by the amount of BS spewed forth in this interview and commentary (by a particular member). In fact I am embarrassed to even participate and lay myself open to flailing dumbfounding attack by that strangely eloquent but completely warped lunatic.

The only action concerning student affairs at tertiary institutions I ever saw of the youth league was hundreds of rowdy students at TUKS dancing and threatening other students who actually wanted to attend class. They broke windows and chased us out. I fail to see the 'good'.

The fact remains (I remember daily with a sinking feeling) that our leadership, their support structures and the daft people who idolise and defend them with pride (lions? you are completely self-riteous - the natural world is something far more beautiful and powerful than a bunch of fools can ever hope to be!) will never see the light. The ass-kicking they need will never happen because their arses and skulls are steel-reinforced and I break my foot even trying. They are so inept and supremely arrogant that they believe themselves beyond the law and are obviously beyond reason.

Unfortunately the taxes I now pay in big chunks is being used to fund this stupidity. All I can hope for is that the money will find its way through the clutches of the idiots to uplifting the lower classes and that they will have the open mentality to recognise that their leaders should be better than they are.

No doubt this will attract another scathing and completely misguided attack by a prime fool. Go ahead - you just confirm what I already think....

    • Posted by Aristotle:5 months ago

MM, don't hold your breath waiting for any progress on THAT side.(That the peepool will see thru their Leaders?) Not going to happen. YY we had the "MK Veterans" (?) marching on Mrs Zille's offices here in CT, demanding that she do what THEY want, and threatening to make the City "Ungovernable".
Veterans of WHAT? A WAR? The only thing these arseholes were any good at was MARCHING, and beer drinking, based far enough behind the Borders, that the SADF couldn't get near them. If we HAD, there would've been a lot less of them marching today!
They never SAW any action, because they saw their Namibian counterparts getting their butts kicked so hard that they had to call in the Cubans and almost the entire Eastern Bloc military to help get their sorry arses out of the mess they were in.
Their "ACTION" consisted of a few bombs and landmines, that were destined to kill more of their own people than the "ENEMY" at the time. They ran like cowards on the few occasions that the SADF came across them, and spent most of their "WAR" in training camps far behind the borders, where they didn't have to fire a gun in anger, unless it was at helpless civilians that they came across that would not do their bidding.
      So War Veterans they ain't!
Check out the newly aquired uniforms and the fancy "RANK" designations! Check out the AGE of many of those that marched. They were kids when that war was on. While there were a FEW odd individuals that tried to take the war to the Cities, the bulk of them sat out the war far away, and to hear them crow about their so called "Victory" (?) at Cuito Canaval, shows how stupid they really are. Militarty personel from other countries did their fighting for them, and paid a high price for doing so.
Don't talk to me about Veterans. They are like Teddy here. Full of wind and fuckall brains. Sadly our country will pay the price for their inept handling of Government. With Mandela, we had a chance. He and the late Oliver Tambo must be wondering today what the hell it was all for, when they look at these morons. God Save South Africa from the ANC and their over 35 "Youth" League!

      • Posted by langzeekoei:5 months ago

Hooray to your post. Most of the "peepool" won´t even know what you are talking about. Maybe they should insert that into the new "history" books that are now being written to accommodate idiots. It´s all propoganda in the old end, isn´t it.

I just think it is so typical (especially of the ANC youth league) that they will make a statement without thinking (big surprise) and then when they are called on it by rational thinking people (most of the people in RSA except the ANC youth league) then they are too embarrassed or pathetic to acknowledge that and then they come up with these ridiculous excuses for answers. We will kill for Zuma... oops we meant it metaphorically and then sleeing around is sleeping around. Our country is in a sorry state and a bad way at the moment. We need to forget this whole Black vs White thing and as a country rise up stand together and fight against the stupid that is corrupting our beautiful nation and the stupid that is selfishly seeking thier own gain, the stupid that is without consideration of the people running around making obsured statements and behaving like animals. PEople around the world will see this an laugh at the monkeys we have leading us, and if we continue to follow then you must be satisfied with the bananas that you get!

I believe its because this is far too fantastical to be true. Fantastic to those who are somewhat removed from reality and got a cold splash of water, and fantastic to those who are already familiar with this condition of some people with the exception that the interview can safely be removed from the realm of racism.

Yes because sleeping around is sleeping around. There is no other explanation Floyd can give us. He says what he means and he means what he says. And if we don't understand then we need to find out, but he doesn't know where...

      • Posted by mrSunday:5 months ago

If sleeping around means sleeping around, and he says what he means and means what he says, then I would say that I also sleep around. Sometimes on the couch, on my bed and occasionally on the floor. Indeed, we all must be sleeping around even if it is in a tree. I'll be surprised to know why that is called an acquisition, or perhaps he was just stating the obvious, like mentioning the sky is blue.

        • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

In other words, Floyd is right! Helen is sleeping around, as are we all! So she isn't really doing anything wrong.. She's doing what all of us do.

Sigh. I recently watched a south park epsiode which gave me a very good understanding of why ppl like teddy think he is right. "That's how people like you work! Your ego is so out of whack that it will do whatever it can to protect itself. And people with a messed up ego can do these mental gymnastics to convince themselves they're awesome, when really, they're just douchebags!" (South Park Season 13 - Fishsticks) I dont really care who runs the country aslong as they know what they are doing. The ANC clearly does not and should not have power. I dont think the country is ruined by them being in power but I most definately think that the ANC is hindering our countries progress in most respects.

  • Posted by Johannebsurg:5 months ago

Certainly well handled by Redi interviewing such a ducker and diver. Floyd needs some lessons in basic English because he obviously did not understand the question/s in the first place. If this is a future leader, then what a tragic statement being sent out there in to the world for this beautiful. country. Tragic indeed!

    • Posted by eve_777:5 months ago

      well said :)

    • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Johannesburg, I don't think it's a case of him not understanding the question. He understood it all right, he just didn't have the balls to answer and say exactly what he meant.

      • Posted by mrSunday:5 months ago

chantellev, I agree but his courage almost seems like a contradiction. he doesn't have the guts to come out straight, yet he insults Redi frequently during the interview. this reveals something.

people like these are political ghosts, they terrify lest they should fear, as a ghost after all is a mere illusion, they have no substance. If only people knew that he is only a ghost, there would be no threat to anybody. I suspect that unfortunately there are many people who are frightened by these ghosts and remain captives of a dead thinking culture. fear rule their in hearts. if that is their attitude, no amount of education can remedy the problem, it might just make them more clever devils.

        • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

          Unfortunate, and yes, very true

        • Posted by Aristotle:5 months ago

Sadly, Mr Sundat and Ms Chantelle, he knew full well what the question was. He was just not able to answer it, because being a "spokesperson" for the ANC Youth League, does not mean a "spokesperson. It actually means a "Spokesperson", and in my limited knowledge of these things, that qualifies him to clean the spokes on the three bicycles that the "Youth League" actually own, which belong to the three actual YOUTHS that are members! The rest of the "Youth" are over 35, took lessons in "Liberation before Education", and even if they had an extra brain each, that would only entitle them to be called HALFWITS! Like his mentor, Julius "Dilemna" Malema, he probably got an "H" for Woodwork, and any half decent halfwit knows that Woodwork starts with a "W". (W is also the first letter in the much used word "Wekkers", who are championed by COSATU, and anyone knows that in this Country, the "Wekkers" don't want to "WEK!" They are SOOOOOOOOO CHILDISH!!! LOOOOOOL. S**t, I enjoyed that!!!!

Is there any court that can allow you to be successfully sued for saying someone is "sleeping around". Even in rape cases my understanding is that the courts do not accept statement like "he slept with me". Floyed did not want to incriminate himself while driving his point home and for that I give him 10 out of 10. Think ligal guys.

    • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Hopeful - "Floyed (Floyd) did not want to incriminate himself while driving his point home..."

Exactly what point would that be??
That he makes unfounded, irrelevent statements that he can't back up?
Or that he's a coward and backtracks after making a statement?
Or perhaps that he's intelligent enough to remember a few sentences and wanted to showcase how many time he could repeat them in one interview?

      Give me a break.

Oh my good lord, what a bumbling idiot - and we thought we scraped the bottom of the barrel with Julius? This is frankly embarrassing. Out of a veritable melting pot of educated, dynamic, forward-thinking youth in the country, the ANC actually puts forward an more vacuous buffoon as their YL spokesperson??? What a complete and utter tit. I don't know about Helen, but I wouldn't even hire this d*****s as my "garden boy"...

Teddy for all your degrees and 'genius labels' you aren't too smart my friend. Come now, you surely can't deny Floyd's blatant stupidity and lack of ability to answer Redi's question.
I just listened again, and I am astounded. As an 'educated' person, you can't honestluy tell me that was an eloquent and forthright interview, where Floyd did the best possible job of explaining the statement, as the spokesperson of the ANCYL? Surely you have enough smarts as a genius to see what's right infront of your nose.

    • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

She was tryna draw him in make him say something he would 'regret' afterwards and she failed. The whole 11-minute interview she was focusing on this one question where have you ever seen that before?..so if she was gonna play dumb and be childish he was also gonna sink to her level of engagement. She was playing to the 702 audience that's why most of you are loving this like you loved the Malema Wackhead crap (don't know why) but in our eyes she remains a brainwashed puppet.

      • Posted by mrSunday:5 months ago

A straight answer is all she wanted, don't know why you interpret it like that?

I could add though, that the only error that she made, is the one where you argue with an idiot. "If you argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience (of idiocity)"

      • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Of course she remains a brain washed puppet in your eyes!! That's the safest thing for you to perceive her as, because you kno the truth of the matter is that she exposed him as the mindless, bumbling fool he is.
Furthermore, she focused on the same question for 11 minutes, because,
        1. The reason he was on the show was to explain what the ANCYL meant by one statement, which required that one question
        and
        2. Because he failed to answer that one question

The only thing Redi was a victim of was this:
When you argue with fools, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. And in case that is unclear to you, my learned friend, Floyd, in this instance is the fool, who beat Redi, the victim, with experience.

    Another revolutionary perspective....

"We can't be spectators and be romantic on serious issues that are threatining our revolution. We must defend it, whatever it takes within the confines of the laws of South Africa. Defend this revolution and the gains and legacies of those who came before us so that when the time comes for our children to ask us: what role did you play Dad when the ANC was under attack?..we can give an account." ~ Yep u guessed it the Young Lion from the North ..Julius Malema

  • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

What do you guys mean by education, enlighten me. I've been labelled a genius all my life from all sides. Got a couple degrees my forte is Computer Science. If your definition of education means walking tall and looking down on those less fortunate and opportune..squash that. Association based on socio economic status..squash that. If your definition means towing the line and aligning myself with people that look down on my ninjas , my people, portray us as backward and incompetent...squash that. Leaders like Zille window dress but sooner or later they slip-up and their true colours glow like the spectrum. I might not be 'educated' but I'm definitely enlightened.

    • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Teddy, you little genius!! A couple of degrees huh?? Wow I'm so impressed!!!
What impresses me more is that you're a classic example of how having 'several degrees' and being labelled a genius 'all your life from all sides', clearly doesn't mean you have common sense. Which you lack in spades.

      • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

Common sense is a bit vague...some of us are deeper than that.

            • Posted by mrSunday:5 months ago

thesis: a statement or theory that is put forward as a premise to be maintained or proved. a post can be a statement.

opinion yes, if you assume it is a mere opinion. but a post can also posit a conviction.

    • Posted by Shado:5 months ago

Well Teddie, tell us truthfully… did they really use the word geniuses or was it not perhaps “gifted” cause I could buy that.

Any way back to your question – education does not necessarily mean the papers or titles behind your name (FYI – I to have a couple of degrees and believe me any monkey can get them) but how you apply that knowledge. Education has to do with etiquette and the implementation of proper behavior. I do not believe that you necessarily need a degree to have good manners as I have meet people that have not spent a day in a class room yet they are courteous and dignified and I have met people with doctorates that have the manners of pigs. And being a snob has nothing to do with education, it’s nothing more than a distasteful attribute some people adopt when they believe they are better than others but at the end of the day we are all the same and when we pass on the day it will not matter how much money or education you have but how you treated your fellow humans.

2 things get me every time, and make me watch this over and over. the first is 'comcombines'. you can HEAR old Floyd thinking the word through as he breaks it into syllables. the second is 'please be patient. we've been listening to you for the whole day'. this poor guy takes himself so seriously, when what he's saying is the most incredible bunch of nonsense imaginable. he's like the basil fawlty of politics in south africa!

  • Posted by monsieur:5 months ago

This makes me laugh every time: "You are being typical of yourself". As opposed to people who are typical of someone else??

  • Posted by slick:5 months ago

The absurdity of Floyd in this interview is sensational! Show this to any of your friends and everyone wants to send the link like a virus. It's so viral because it's defies common sense. My email box is inundated with all of your responses chaps;-)

How anyone can support such a bunch of numbnuts (Floyd, Juius and now Teddy as competitor for alpha idiot) is beyond comprehension! hahaha

  • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

I had to have another listen, and OMG... the more I listen the funnier it gets!!!!

    WTF is a 'COMCOMBINE'??? Hahahahahaa!!

    • Posted by GroovyGordo:5 months ago

Did you see the interview on ENews with Julious and Redi?

Redi took Floyd appart in this clip, what happened with Julius? The same kind of thing? What did Julius have to say?

    • Posted by max_pasta:5 months ago

i'm with you 100%. the more i listen, the weirder and funnier floyd becomes. and you notice all the little things, like redi's pauses and silent moments, when she's probably trying to find the words to communicate in floyd's martian dialect! hahahaha

      • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Either that or the slight pauses and brief moments of silence are indicative of her trying her best not to laugh her head off at the stupidity of this ANCYL spokesperson. I don't know how she kept her composure - I laugh from his first sentence now!!!

  • Posted by FoxxyC:5 months ago

Teddy, YOU ARE ONE SICK DUDE!!!! You talk just as much crap as your loser brothers. Go fly a kite, or no, go back to school, get an education and try again!

  • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

Signing off...one more quotable to enlighten your stereotypical minds about the revolutionary approach of the ANCYL

"Nobody will silence the militant voice of the youth of South Africa we don't need the permission of anybody to speak about any matter in this country...and we'll be very worried that when we speak, after speaking the enemy smiles. After speaking the enemy must be more angry because our role is not to impress the enemy it's to fight the enemy" ~ The one and only Juju/Blockbuster/Vuvuzela the Young Lion Julius Malema this kid is marvelous.

    • Posted by pixstar:5 months ago

Obviously you are just pulling our leg here and stirring the pot. Nobody (besides ANCYL supporters) would be foolish enough to take the comrades you mentioned seriously. It's not that we, the enemy, are angry it's that we are shocked and in disbelief at the stupidity. It's embarrassing actually.

    • Posted by AnalyzingMan:5 months ago

      HI teddyxp.
And all the rest of u DA and ANC shitheads not getting the picture.
Dont fear. I am here to rectify that.
Firstly, i know my spelling is utterly disgracefull, so pls dont miss the point by commenting on it for it does not reflect my intellect as much as it does the current education system.

I want u to get that i dont care for politics, thus I am objective.
My reason for doing this is that i have insight and i felt obligated to share it with u as u cannot see what actually happnd in that interview.

Teddy, Floyd did not put Redi in her place at all. The government did. But in return, they exposed the fact that they choose not to stand by what they say in a fair and ethical debating manner. For exposing this i congratuale Redi.

The thing is this, the ANC had to choose, either they openly slander Zille or they draw on emotion by creating an ilusion of retaliation and then hide behind the fact that they are immune to being persecuted and convicted if they do not openly slander her.

The first option is a first world option. It appeals to intellect and will impress/appall the developd mind on a intellectual level.

The second option, and the one they chose, plays on the emotions of the under developd third world mind. These people run on instinct and emotion. Not facts, interesting arguments or evidence.

So if we look at our country, we can clearly see that we are third world atm. So the obvious and correct (in the interest of the ANC) choice is choice number 2.

Beacause u make a big commotion saying she sleeps around and u draw out alot of emotion that the thirdworld mind can feel, but not interperet.

Then when the intellectual people come, and want to challenge the statements through debating or seek out proof, they denie these people a definition thus eliminating any chance of debate.

      So what do they achieve?
The third world people (majority of SA aswell as their voters) get excited and the firstworld (not their voters) get frustrated. But this does not bother them in the least beacuase they rely on the third world part for support.

Thus, ppl like teddy support them. And ppl like kieran dont.
The only thing is, the teddy's of SA are in controll atm... so his, is the vote that counts.

I would just like to congratuale the ANC on their absalutly briliant propaganda and indoctrination of the third world mind. It has realy been subtle and effectively done. (once again, i dont care for politics, so this is in no way sarcastic.)

      • Posted by internext:5 months ago

Couldnt put it better myself! Well said. The only place Teddy should be is in bed with a 2yr old, asleep with his sox on.... where he belongs!
No SLIGHTLY intelligent 3yr old even wants a TEDDY like him!
        Miss Muffet

      • Posted by surferkid:5 months ago

OK, I dont follow politics either, and agree with what analyzingman has said, except that although in your mind Option2 was the right choice in a third world country, If you look at logic, reason, common sense, an generally evolving/growing of an economy, this will never be the right choice!!! sure it was the right choice to get out of the hole they got themselves in but in terms of the ppl leading our country this shouldnt have been the response...... No wait if we had capable leaders there wouldnt have been such a stupid conversation in the first place!!!

we make fun of the USA when bush used to say really stupid things, and thats what they were.... stupid, but the ANCYC has taken it 2 new levels of stupidity and pointlessness!!!

someone earlier said we all have the freedom of speech, but just because we have the right doesnt mean we need to always say something... they say silence is golden, an in this case i think everyone involved wishes they had kept to that!!! The reason i think these (not sure how to put this without being harsh) unintellctual people say what they say is that they believe that as long as they are saying something they seem like they know what they are doing, I personally know alot of these kind of people, they are not stupid by no terms but their logic is off base, and sometimes they think whoever talks the loudest or most must be right becuase eventually the other party will give up...

I was in america last year during the election process an each party head often had organised and televised debates that were intelectual,
to the point and understanable.... but i find it really hard to believe any of the anc/cope members would be able to have one of these debates either because their language skills arent up 2 par or their intellectual skills aren't or both...

thats all i have to say as i think if I say anything else i will be 1 of the guys who talk so much to the point i believe im right...

        out
        surferkid with brains;)

    • Posted by Shado:5 months ago

And that word there “militant” is exactly the problem. The ANCYL is like s spoilt child threatening militant action when ever they don’t get their way instead of sitting down and discussing that matter at hand in a professional and constructive manner like educated adults. Maybe the ANCYL should concentrate more on uplifting the youth and leave the politics for the grownups.

But Teddy I must say you have a lot to say on the subject considering you not even in SA ;)

The only problem is that we are still sitting with uneducated "people" who think they know all, after nearly 15 years of democracy! Ummm..ok Teddy. Right on!

    • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Nobody would mind if 'the youth of South Africa' spoke sense, Teddy. The fact is, they don't. They talk the biggest load of rubbish under the sun, and then cannot back up their claims/accusations with reasonable explanations (as this clip CLEARLY shows).

You speak often of freedom of speech... just as you have a right to freedom of speech, so do I, and so does every other person on this forum. I suggest if you don't like what's being said, and YOU don't have a reasonable explanation to the claim, that you move along swiftly.

What in the world does her being sexy or not have anything to do with the issue at hand?

Teddy, Teddy, Teddy... PLEASE keep quiet coz you making yourself sound as dumb and thick as your cronies Malema and Floyd. C'mon, use those "mieliepitte" shake your head if it'll help to get them loose, take off your eyeflaps and wake up!

      • Posted by GroovyGordo:5 months ago

Teddy... We are being objective... hence the fact that we objected to his statements... or lack there of...

I really don't follow how his remarks have anything to do with Nation Building? Please could you explain what your definition of Nation building is... or is Nation Building simply Nation building.. there is no other definition for it and I should be "objective" and accept that straight off the bat?

I think the ANCYL's new slogan should be "We say what we mean, but we really don't know what we mean, but we say it anyways"... but maybe thats just a little too long winded...
        How about
We (think) we say what we mean, and we (think we) mean what we say... but we really don't (think)...
Me thinks the thinking is missing...

Your Malema boy dropped out of school and claims he finished when he was 21... 21 OMW, most people has careers by 21 already. Your Zuma boy only has a std 3 and NO other education. Wake up and smell the coffee, READ if you can... Google wikipedia if you can find www.google.com

Julius, Zuma, Floyd and now Teddyxp... Absolute embarassment to South Africa

    • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

Chantelle you're so absent-minded your brain scan is inconclusive. The people you've just mentioned are open-minded individuals willing to make a contribution to the nation as opposed to you with your biased/one-sided/narrow-minded/brain came in a railway-consignment mentality. You're an embarrassment to freedom of speech.

      • Posted by Shado:5 months ago

And you are an embarrassment to logical thinking yet we don’t hold that against you.

Hahaha ok teddyxp, whatever you say :D

    • Posted by GroovyGordo:5 months ago

Teddy it's very easy to try and bash someone rather than deal with the situation.... As quiet ineloquently put by our old friend Floyd.

It is quiet clear that the ANC youth league is being used as a mouthpiece to smear other political parties and not directly involve the ANC. When is the ANC going to realise that the ANCYL reflects as badly upon them as if they had made the statement themselves?

I agree with a previous writer that Helen should sue for defamation... There is no way that "sleeping around" would suffice as a definition for sleeping around.... WAIT WAIT... can you please explain to me what maths means..... oh well maths is maths... there is no other way to explain that maths is in fact ... actually... wait for it... maths.....
Well hang on their is another way to explain it... its called using your vocabulary!!!! (insert swearing here as this is tooooooo **$*%#$#%$# idiotic for words). The only reason that they refrained from acknowledging a definition is that they are too spineless to stand by what they say. If you want to slander someone have the guts to stand by what you say... We say what we mean and we mean what we say..... well that just proves you are a liar when you can't even define it yourself!!!

Oh and I also agree with Chantellev ... just cause she looks hot.... ;)

      • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

She definitely does...my eyes have been blessed. The ANCYL's response to Zille was kind of like the last straw. Why does Zille goes into a rage when she speaks about the Zuma/ANC? That angers alot of people including the ANCYL who always maintained they are the first line of defence and that was their method of retaliation. These are militant radicals of course they'll fight back fiercely in defence of their President. You can't bite and expect a hug in return..that's just not on.

        • Posted by GroovyGordo:5 months ago

Didn't really notice Zille going into a "rage" whenever she speaks about Zuma or the ANC, but after that broadcast I can totally understand why she does.... she doesn't tollerate stupid...
Militant radicals who can't string together a definition for a two words that they used about 20 times in broadcast... its no wonder they are militant radicals, cause they can't win any other way than resorting to violence and intimidation.

          NUFF SAID...

        • Posted by monsieur:5 months ago

I think you are missing the point entirely. We all understand that the ANCYL are trying to defend the President. The point is that they have utterly failed at that task. By accusing Zille of promiscuity, they make two fundamental errors which undermine their defence:

          1) Kettles and pots
By implying that promiscuity is reprehensible, they criticise Zuma far more than they criticise Zille. That Zuma sleeps around is indisputable. He has numerous wives, has fathered children with mistresses and not so long ago was telling us all that he had sex with a women who was not his wife. If promiscuity is a vice, Zuma has it in spades.

          2) Bark and no bite
The ANCYL does not have the balls or the facts to back up their accusation of promiscuity. Floyd doesn't explain what he means because he is scared of a defamation claim and does not have the facts to prove the truth of what he is saying.

The result is that rather than harming Zille, the ANCYL has harmed themselves revealing themselves as toothless, hypocritical whimps that call people names but run away when challenged. Their attack completely backfired causing them more harm than the person it was designed to hurt. That is why this is such a monumental disaster and that is why we should be afraid of these people ever becoming leaders.

        • Posted by freeflyshannon:5 months ago

She goes into a rage as she is speaking for ALL of us, against the unbelievable stupidity that pours forth from everything the ANCYL says. The reason for this stupidity is as a direct result of JZ only having a STD 3 education.HOLY S**T Man - Do we need to explain this in any clearer terms for you? Wake the f**k up - idiot boy!

    • Posted by thankful:5 months ago

I agree! Floyd is a stupid bafoon who cannot even directly answer a simple question. If you accuse someone of sleeping around you should be able to substantiate that claim. This is just a tactic from the ANC once again to make the DA look bad. I think Julius Malema and Floyd must have attended the same school as they both talk a lot of rubbish.

I haven't even really listened to this - haven't the heart or inclination - my question is is this really the most important issue the opposition could come up with - is Jacob Zuma's sex life really the most pressing issue facing South Africa's 47 million citizens. I was really hoping Zille would elevate the level of political discourse to practical matters of governance and service delivery and while her cabinet is problematic - her choice to engage in mudslinging politics is just f*****g dissappointing. The ANCYL continues to engage in all kinds of disturbing and dissappointing statements and actions. And the ANC is obsessed with the politics of power, and the appearance of improvement - unfortunately South Africa is not a target market for advertisers to sway - it's 47 million traumatised humans pretending not to be traumatised and attempting to get on with the business of living. So to all the polticians engaged in these positions for opaque reasons of self-aggrandisement, personal enrichment, and status I would suggest that the short-term gains you may achieve, while satiating, in the long run term will crumble into so much dust and hot air - leaving 47 million very unhappy people. Get a grip! The name-calling and mudslinging is a frustrating and boring waste of all our time - how about some policy and actions that actually has a far-reaching effect on the population of South Africa, a transformation of its beauracracy and infrasrtucture to accommodate the social reality it faces and not all these fantasies and advertising myths of first world status and world class cities. Cuba has the best health care system in the world and population full of very literate people - how'd they do that? Especially faced with the ongoing economic embargo placed on it by America (which is supported by the rest of the industrialised world). How did Uganda cut its AIDS figures down so drastically in such a short time. Look to me all this first world third world stuff is a load of s**t. There's one planet and we're all on it. A lot of the constructs we use as humans are getting us into a lot of mess - so maybe we should stop using them. It would be great if politicians would see politics as just that policy-making - and what benefits (or detriment) those policies bring to the people who have chosen them to govern. The politics of self-aggrandisement have got to go - not just Zille, the ANCYL, and the ANC but everywhere - it's killing us...

    • Posted by mikemc:5 months ago

I can not help but agree with you Mabu.
But on the other hand, the point of this video is not to talk politics, it's to point out how educated and intelligent the "leaders" of this country are.
Everything you said is true, but a man like this, acting as a "leader" in a country has very negative consequences. Your country should not allow people like this in powerful positions. Honestly they have no place there!
If you're talking about economic growth, this is most definitely one way of NEVER achieving it!
Leaders who rule the country are not solely responsible for economic growth, but they can not behave in such a manner, I'm sorry, and I know you would not like me pointing this out, but if a man behaved like this in ANY first world country, and there is a public video showing this, he would be absolutely slammed in the media as if there's no end.
I wonder whether this would even reach the papers in SA.
Whats even more scary is that I'm sure some people see this guy as a role model.

    • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Mabu, while agree with everything you said, I have to point out that the clip is indeed not about Jacob Zuma's sex life (which you would've known if you had the heart or inclination to listen to it), but rather about the statement about Helen Zille 'sleeping around' and Redi's request to have that statement explained, which the rather eloquent (!) Floyd could not do.

Like I said, other than that I echo your sentiments!

      • Posted by mabu:5 months ago

No quibbles there - but didn't this whole thing start because Zille decided now was the best time to take potshots at the ANC, Zuma, et al. And the ANCYL, in some misguided attempt to defend Zuma's honor and having chosen yet another inarticulate spokesperson, charged to the fore. I mean the headlines of Zille were huge and ANCYL couldn't let that go, could they? (Yes I am being a little sarcastic). So now we're stuck with a media tempest in a teacup and this foolish game of tit for tat insults that lately it seems South African politicians of all stripes are indulging in, like children on a playground, wasting our energy, time, ink, and internet time - when we all could be doing something worthwhile to improve and benefit ourselves and our fellow citizens. I was hoping that Zille - as the strongest opposition party leader - would elevate our discourse - in the past year or so the ANCYL has given me much hope of them being the ones to do so. So I tend to ignore them.

On another note - I keep on thinking "I come from a country one of whose primary liberation strategies was to emphasize the plight of its political prisoners as a focus for international pressure to break the system of apartheid - yet, given our post-liberation growing pains, haven't got two seconds to spare for anyone else's plight, though we didn't hesitate to walk arm in arm with these same people during our darkest times." Signing a petition isn't going to change all of that, but it's something. I don't claim to know or understand all the ins and outs of the Burmese situation, but lots of people could have said the same about South Africa, but they had our backs anyway - we are in a position to do the same.

I'm sorry, but anyone who is an ANC supporter, SHOULD HAVE A PROBLEM with this, you see, out of an objective opinion(I do not live in South Africa) the ANCYL is associated with the ANC, and this is an EXTREME embarrassment. It would be to ANY political party. South Africa is becoming a joke to other 1st world countries, just as people were starting to believe that the country is becoming advanced, this whole election situation(not even to mention that your PRESIDENT didn't even prove his innocence in a court of law) is extremely embarrassing. This honestly makes you seem like a banana republic.
To make matters worse, you are slamming this Hellen Zille woman, for FACTS, can anyone deny what she has said? Zuma himself admitted to his actions.
Welcome to politics 101 ! Mud slinging is just a part of it. Nothing this Zille woman did was inappropriate, if someone acts inappropriately and he is your opposition it's obviously your right to point that out!
I think your problem is, that a big part of your population is still fighting apartheid, where that hasn't been the problem in years. Instead of focusing on economic objectives and GDP per cap.
All I can say is, South Africa, I'm praying for your country, because your politics is even more frightening than Bush, and I honestly hope you do not walk the same path as Zimbabwe.

  • Posted by monsieur:5 months ago

The dictionary definition of sleep around is "to have sexual relations with many partners, esp. in a casual way; be sexually promiscuous." If the ANCYL wants to use words to mean something different that what everyone else understands them to mean, then the onus is on THEM to explain what they actually do mean. I think it's clear that the ANCYL knows what it means but they don't have the courage to take Zille on in relation to her sexual activity. Contrary to what Floyd says, he does not mean what he says because he knows that if he did mean to say that Zille is promiscuous, he would be on the losing end of a defamation suit.

Malema has admitted that the ANCYL's role within the ANC is to act as a thug that says ridiculous things purely to create controversy and divert attention away from the ANC's failed policies. We should just ignore them.

It is comments like yours that is really concerning and discerning...how could anyone with an IQ more than 7.3 believe and support this Floyd?? i can't believe that the ANC don't act against this embarrassment called the Youth League??

The moment there's some good news in the country, some idiot shoots it down.

      • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

Mr Inc you're not as corporate as you would have us think. The YL has youth development programmes and initiatives that are not reported on because they don't go along with the portrayal of buffoonery, inadequacy dished out by the media. I bet you don't know about their various programmes concerning student affairs at tertiary institutions, The Youth Development Agency which one of the FF Youth is a member of. Between the headlines they make they are involved in uplifting the youth. Fact is they are militant and radical..so they'll always adopt a revolutionary approach. For arguments sake you can refer to them as political watchdogs. Educational background/IQ should never define you. Do yourself a favour go to the ANCYL website, read the Presidents' blog and get a glimpse of his vision.

        • Posted by Shado:5 months ago

Strange, I have a friend who is an YL member and she too is unaware of the good work the ANCYL does :please feel free to note the sarcasm in my voice:. She has never heard of any youth upliftment projects, our any underprivileged youth been helped by the league to secure study finances which one would think would be one of the portfolios. In fact my friend says the YL is nothing else than one big party, guess that explains why the YL does not need competent people heading it up as any buffoon can throw a party.

  • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

Floyd put her in her place. She was just tryna impress 702 conservatives like yourselves but she got squashed. Didn't you hear how he told her how childish and irresponsible she was and that she must grow up. He even told her to stop parroting DA views on the station that's when she started mumbling I felt sorry for the brainwashed coco. Whenever she interviews members of the YL she likes acting all snobbish/high and mighty and 10/10 she's put in her place. Well done Floyd. She must just be glad she wasn't interviewing Julius he would have made mince out of her.

    • Posted by kieran:5 months ago

Floyd is obviously an imbecile, and incompetent as a spokesperson. Talking about Helen Zille in that way does nothing to support the economy which is his job. Thankfully he totally discredited his own opinion, and that of the ANCYL as their spokesperson, on this show.

I'm sure he realizes what a fool he sounded like. What surprises me is that you don't.

      • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

Oh excuse me. So it's all good for Hellen Zille to blabber every chance she gets. Ask her a simple question and she always finds a way to incorporate and demean ANC/Zuma in her answer. Fact is Hellen Zille played dirty, she put on a bandana and went to an alley spray-painted with ANCYL graffiti. She's been playing dirty for a while now pre and post elections what surprises me is your blindness to her personal agenda/vendetta/etcetera against the President. She doesn't have the interest of the masses at heart this is all a game to her Zille vs ANC. It's not only raining but it's pouring matter fact it's appalling, DA supporters should be in mourning. Good Morning South Africa bye-bye Hellen Zille. Your power hungry leader is driving opposition politics to the ground with her Zuma/ANC infatuation.

        • Posted by Kosak:5 months ago

Do me a favour: climb together with Julius and the rest of the ANC Youth in a boat, drift off and nobody will miss you, your absolut brainless chatting or your three (if at all) braincells.

          • Posted by teddyxp:5 months ago

my 3 brain cells? i mean like honestly i'm the architect of logic so honour me. All I'm saying is Zille said it herself "politics is not for sissies" in other words she's continuously sparring for no reason. Under the Madam the DA only has one policy STOP Zuma. Are you telling me all the things Hellen Zille's ever said about Zuma are facts. "Zuma is a constitution wrecking machine"...."The economy will go down if ANC comes into power"...this is when all of this started and she's still at it. We tryna make a success of our country and she thinks Western Cape is some autonomous island. She's a Premier but her childish utterances make the ANCYL look like dignified statesmen. She's constantly huffing and puffing, bickering and undermining the President so don't come with this 'sweet-little princess' pretense when coming to her defence.

            • Posted by Truckho:5 months ago

Who farted and gave you a breath of fresh air, you're so stereotyped Sony had you in mind when the Walkman was designed. Matter fact we can go toe-to-toe till I amputate your foot. From your initial post I could see where you were taking this you're the reason why there's no progress in our country. I have no master..I'm the alpha, the omega and the re-birth. You're flippin threatened, cats like me are the weight on your shoulders and I'll only get off once you're diagnosed with kyphosis. We don't need supremacists like you up in this matter fact pack your bags and put your dual-citizenship to good use. If this is where this discussion is going I'm done with this blog d**n and I was starting to enjoy myself.

                    • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

It amazes me, Teddy, that you, who claim to be educated, and use a vocabulary that the average person on here might not be able to call you on, are so blissfully arrogant. The half clever little comments about Sony and the Walkman were probably coined for you by something with reasonable intelligence, but to lay the blame for a lack of progress in this Country on anyone other than yourself and your Masters is a bit rich, don't you think?

Kyphosis has a variety of different forms, but looking at Wikipedia's version, it can clearly be seen that a number of these might be attributed to the person that YOU have turned out to be. For example, Teddy, Kyphosis is often seen as a form of hunch back due to malnutrition, and birth deformity. This would seem to indicate thyat your need to stand on peoples backs and refuse to get off till they get Kyphosis is a bit of a misnomer, because anyone that you know with a deformity like that, probably got it more from carrying you and yours into the future from the bush where you lived and looked like staying in forever, and continuously carrying you because you;re too d**n lazy to work, than from any kind of birth defect.

As to your referral to us being "flippin threatened", you are right, we are.....but NOT because of the misguided belief that you are good enough to take over from us and do a better job, but perhaps more from the fact that despite many of your tribe being incapable of doing a decent days' work without either going on strike, or breaking something, WE are being sidelined by Legislation that tells us that we have to give our jobs to you, because you have been hard done by and previously disadvantaged by other, previous Legislation, and therefore restitution is necessary. So we are now placed in the same position that you were once in, or rather your fathers were.

Two wrongs do not make a right, Teddy, so perhaps you might deign to forgive us if we find this a little unpalateable? Calling us "Supremicists" and telling us to pack our bags will not cut it, because we BUILT this beautiful land, while your forefathers were stealing each others' cattle, and women, and killing each other, and we're not moving!!

Yes, we might have to accept that for a while you will be in charge, and that for the forseeable future, while you and your buddies enrich yourselves at the expense of the poor and uneducated, living the good life on the express gravy train, the economy is going to be a disaster, and we might never move forward. But eventually, with education, the masses will realise that their "Leaders" have conned them, and have broken every promise ever made to them.

At that stage, Teddy, those of us that believe in good governance, and the rule of Law, will have been vindicated, and you will be OUT, and we will be IN, placed there by an electorate that finally understands that life under the ANC's despotic rule has not worked, as it has not worked elsewhere in Africa, where continual handouts are placed in the begging bowls of the great unwashed, only to be re-routed to Swiss Banking accounts.

Then, and only then, will this Country begin to show its full potential, Teddy. Until then, we will bear your noisy, riotous behaviour, your disgraceful ignorance of any Laws, and your constant demands for more pay and less work. You might f**k up this Country, because you have never really built anything worthwhile, anywhere in the World, Teddy, but we built it in the first place, and those of us that remain here, despite your continued arrogance, and self gratification, at the expense of all, will re-build it again, and make it a better place than it was under your rule. Don't though, expect a job in the NEWER SA, Teddy, unless you put that education to better use than you have up to now, because the rules THEN will not be bent to accomodate useless, lazy and uneducated peepool. Here's to the future SA!!!

Teddy my boy! I am so sorry that I haven't been keeping up with your moronic diatribe lately. I can see that you have created a laughter page for anyone stupid enough to read your drivel!!!

Your "wordplay" is reminiscent of the Goon Show in the 60's. A loaf of bread has more brain power than you, dude! Just goes to show that "A Little knowledge is a very dangerous thing", especially when it is given to a moron. If you had another brain, you'd still only be a half wit.

Truckho, don't sweat this twit, man. He's probably about 27 in Grade 2, and a complete J**********y.

                  • Posted by SaphriX:4 months ago

A laughter page at that!! :)

I have no time to argue with this K4!! All his degrees he brags about, was to increase his vocabulary! That's all he does with it!

                    Supremacist? No......................
                    Better than you? ........................Yes!

And I'm glad your done with this blog teddy.
Because you are nothing more than fecal matter waiting to dry in the sun!
You have contributed nothing to this blog, besides your mere acknowledgment that you follow a TOTAL idiot K4 like Julius Malema!
Young lion? Yes, Naive young Lion!! (Look up the word Naive, teddy, for the real meaning)

YOU.................................ARE THE REASON THIS COUNTRY IS GOING NOWHERE, Teddy!!!

I didn't hear any mumbling from Redi... I heard and I quote,
      "You are being ridiculous Floyd"
"You are not answering the question Floyd"
"Your interpretation of sleeping around is sleeping around, what does that mean? Answer the question."
"I don't understand what you mean, it's your role as a spokesperson to explain."
"You actually don't know what you mean."
"You're playing around with words, just answer the question"
"You don't think it's important for people to know what you mean?"
"You've come onto the radio and given us the most ridiculous explanations to very simple questions"
"You can't think, that's the problem"
"Floyd, I don't know which planet you come from"
"I have given you an opportunity to come onto the radio and explain what you meant, but you can't answer the question and all you've done is waste time"

      and I heard him say

"We say that she's sleeping around and we mean that she's sleeping around"
"We mean what we say and we say what we mean"
"Our interpretation of sleeping around is sleeping around"
"Our interpretation of sleeping around is sleeping around"
"Our interpretation of sleeping around is sleeping around"
"Our interpretation of sleeping around is sleeping around"
"Our explanation of sleeping around is that she's sleeping around. There is no other explanation we can give. If you don't know what we mean you need to go check, I don't know where"
      "Sleeping around means sleeping around"
"You can ask us that a million times but we will not change the explanation. Sleeping around means sleeping around"
"Our explanation is that she's sleeping around and we are not going to change from that particular explanation"
"You are being angry, you're being angry and typical of yourself. Grow up"

    • Posted by SaphriX:5 months ago

      Now that, Teddy, is hilarious!
I'm proud of Redi! She put him in his place!
Just because he can throw around infantile insults, doesn't mean he beat her. It just shows that is vocabulary is inferior to hers.
And inferior to your's and mine, in fact!

What then, Teddy, does sleeping around meen to you?
Or do you share Floyd the Haemorrhoid 's views?

    • Posted by Aristotle:4 months ago

Are you for REAL? You actually believe that Floyd WON the discussion???? I'm beginning to think that "Liberation before Education" created a generation of Moronic Mamparas, (yourself among them) that cannot think for themselves, and are completely devoid of a brain!!!
Get a life, Dude. Better still, get an education! Not the one you can buy from your local "on the take" teachers, but a REAL EDUCATION, Go back to Primary School. Your comments here are reminiscant of that level, like Grade 1???

  • Posted by nicharry:5 months ago

Redi is fantastic. "Floyd I don't know which planet you come from..." Awesome.

This is a shockingly insightful interview to a group that once caused concern, worry and skepticism. I am no longer worry about the ANCYL. Ever.

    • Posted by chantellev:5 months ago

Nicharry I wish I could say that... The fact is, there are youngsters who take the likes of Julius and Floyd very seriously, and people who believe everything that's fed to them, follow blindly without a second thought, and defend to the point of threatening militant action. That alone is cause for worry. The ignorance of the ANCYL and their ability to use the words 'militant actio'n at the drop of a hat (or when they don't get their way, like a spoiled, petulant child), is indicative of just how bad things can get if something isn't done. These people would like nothing more than to fight (militant action), as they're unable to take any other action due to their severe lack of intellect (as the clip shows).
So while it's incredibly funny, just because Floyd shows off his incredible stupidity, it is still disconcerting.

  • Posted by brucekilian:5 months ago

The ANC needs to dissolve the ANCYL just like the IFP have done recently because they are disruptive , incompetent , ignorant and have zero skills what so ever! Distancing themselves from these recent comments is not good enough ! Granted what Helen did was out of line too but to be honest none of her comments were false they are all facts ! I never thought there would be someone in the ANCYL more retarded than Julius Malema . Shame i feel sorry for them . Respect to radio 702 !

  • Posted by garethb:5 months ago

That was the highlight of my year thus far. If there ever was an advert for what a bunch of idiotic morons the ANCYL are, then this was it. It better the Malema "We are not worried about these chickens" chirp but light years. A definition of a word cannot be the owrd itself, surely, I mean surely once you have finshed std 1 you would know this? In any event I truly enjoyed listening to that and have sent the link to every person I know on the planet so they may enjoy it too.

  • Posted by pooky:5 months ago

Hopefully he will be on '' Blade's '' priority list for a ''regmaaker klap'' . Floyd and his mates who sit on the ANC youth league council should be sent back to school grade 1 for re-orientation and education.Or better still, piff of to Russia and get an education there....

  • Posted by Foozball:5 months ago

I wonder if I were to call him a mother f#cker...would he know what it that would be, because he is an idiotic MOFO

  • Posted by mangecrate:5 months ago

What an idiot he is that ANCYL spokesperson. No wonder why this country is going so down. They always say "THE FISH STARTS GETTING ROTTEN FROM ITS HEAD" meaning that if the ANCYL is an idiot, it's so obvious the all group would be indeed.

Fantastic, you can find the full transcript of the interview here:

    makes for some good reading!

    • Posted by vanvuuren1:5 months ago

You guys dont get it. I know these guys are terrible politicians, but he is using hyperbole for having a foot in many camps...not complicated

      • Posted by thibos:5 months ago

Then why didn't Floyd explain that? Why didnt he come out and make it clear to us that by so saying, he implies what you have explained. I think it is clear what he was telling us but he didnt have the guts to make an official statement since it would be unfounded; he has no evidence of it. They can call her racist because that is a more subjective matter but sleeping around is black and white.

      • Posted by hubble:5 months ago

It's actually a metaphor, and yes it isn't complicated, but as a political leader he should be able to give a better explanation than that! It was pathetic, Floyd, what a fool!

        • Posted by Shado:5 months ago

I have to wonder if he even knows what a metaphor is, let alone how it is spelt.

No… I think the ANCYL throw stuff out there without really comprehending what they are talking about to pacify their followers and sheep are as sheep do...

Here you have a group that can potentially uplift and enrich their followers, and no I’m not talking about monetary stuff yet they busy themselves with poking bears. One of SA’s biggest problems is that our youth have a poor selection of people to look up to… it’s such a shame because this countries future is it’s youth.

      • Posted by lexx:5 months ago

thanks genius ... glad you got it - even more glad you can even have the gall to justify or explain this idiots meaning.

so so so so so glad ...hmmm.

  • Posted by freeflyshannon:6 months ago

ha Ha that is so typical of an average ANC/ANCYL response. They justify things to themselves within their tiny brains and The- World- Be- Damned for trying to understand it.I cannot ,for the life of me, understand their logic and mentality.God help us all! SA - welcome back to the "dark" ages.

  • Posted by FoxxyC:6 months ago

dele454, Malema didn't even finish standard 8/grade10... He is an uneducated dog that got lucky. He doesn't deserve to be in that position. If JZ has any brains he'd speak to him and publicly tell him he's making a mockery of everybody including himself.

  • Posted by milo23za:6 months ago

Eish...Floyd, I think you and Malema are dumb f**ks. When I say that I dont mean that you are not clever or that you are actually dumb, I dont mean that at all, seriously comrade. I just say what I mean and mean what I say: You are dumb f**ks.
