Award winning South African journalist Zubeida Jaffer launched her second non-fiction book “Love in the time of treason” in late 2008. The book tells the story of Ayesha (Bibi) Dawood, a dedicated activist in the fifties who stood trial during the infamous Treason Trials with the likes of Nelson Mandela. The book focuses on the love story between Ayesha and Yusuf and the difficulties their love over-came during apartheid.
