UVBrite water bottle is a new way to ensure you’ve got the healthiest water. UVBrite is a USA-based company, and they’re hoping to change the way people approach drinking water. They don’t just want to make water bottles safer for the people but safer for the planet. This UVBrite water bottle review will walk you through everything you want to know about the water bottle and how to use it.

How to Use the UVBrite Water Bottle

The basics of using the UVBrite water bottle are simple and easy. Just follow these quick steps to get started. If it’s your first time using the bottle, make sure you give it a deep clean with warm water and soap. The bottle is hand-wash only. And don’t forget to charge it with the included cable!

  • First, find any clear water source, whether this is from your tap, a water fountain, or the local stream, to fill your bottle. While the UVBrite’s UV-C light is powerful enough to reduce 99.9% of microbes in water, it can’t remove physical debris.
  • Next, depending on how dirty the water is or just personal preference, start the UV-C purification process in either normal or blitz mode by clicking the lid once or twice, respectively.
  • Then wait a quick 90-120 seconds for the disinfection to complete. You’ll know it’s complete when the LED lights on the top stop flashing.
  • Finally, enjoy some clean water! Feel free to rinse the bottle and repeat up to 50 times on one charge. The UVBrite water bottle will now act as a self-cleaning water bottle and only needs monthly rinsing to keep it fresh.
  • UVBrite water bottles don’t require LED or battery changes, so keep the bottle charged, and you’ll be good to go.

That makes it easy to take the bottle everywhere and not worry about your next refill.

Different Cycles

The normal disinfection cycle is the standard and most common way to run the UVBrite water bottle. After it runs, this mode will properly reduce the microbes in most water sources. On the UVBrite Go, you only need to press the button on the lid once to activate this cycle, which will run for around 180 seconds.

When you need a little more power, the blitz disinfection cycle can handle purifying water from streams or other dirty sources. This mode is significantly longer, and it will take the UVBrite five minutes to complete. But it provides the best protection when you’re unsure of your water source. To start the blitz cycle, press the UVBrite Go’s button twice.

The UVBrite water bottle is self-cleaning, and this final cycle type runs automatically. The bottle uses a smart feature to activate the self-cleaning cycle every six hours. This cycle keeps the bottle correctly disinfected.

First Use

When you first receive your UVBrite Go water bottle, there are a few key steps you need to take to get things running smoothly.

  1. Wash the water bottle and lid with warm and soapy water.
  2. Charge the water bottle using the included USB-C cord. It will take around 2.5 hours to fully charge. You’ll know it’s charging if you see the 4th LED light turn red, and this LED will shut off when it’s ready to use.

Getting to Know Your UVBrite Go Water Bottle

  • The Lid: On the top of your UVBrite Go water bottle lid, you’ll see four LED lights and a round power button. While the lid is facing up with the power button at the bottom facing you, the LEDs from left to right are 1-4. On the side of the lid, there is a small flap where the provided USB-C cable plugs in to charge.
  • The Bottle: This 18.6 oz bottle is double-walled and vacuum-sealed.

What Does it Mean When My LED Light is…

  • If your 1st LED is flashing green and magenta: The child-proof lock has turned on mid-disinfection cycle. For best results, make sure you properly tighten the lid of the bottle before starting the disinfection cycles.
  • If your 4th LED light is red: Your UVBrite Go bottle is charging. The light will go off when the battery is ready to go, so please wait before you take it off the cord.
  • If your 1st LED light is green and your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, are flashing blue: The UVBrite Go bottle is running a normal level disinfection cycle. Make sure you wait around 180 seconds for the cycle to complete the purification before drinking the water.
  • If your 1st LED light is magenta and your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, are flashing blue: The UVBrite bottle is running a blitz disinfection cycle or a self-cleaning cycle. These are the higher levels of disinfection and will take about 5 minutes to complete. Again, make sure you wait until the end of the cycle before drinking the water.

Important Warnings

  • If you see a flashing green and magenta light, the disinfection process did not complete correctly.
